I was in Bremerton today and drove past this little restaurant just on the other side of the bridge from the ferry terminal. It was just starting to rain and some hot food seemed like a good idea. Tamayo's 2 has a homey feel to it and the hand written menu has a nice selection of different Asian cuisines. We ordered the chicken pho, papaya salad and tamarind chicken. Everything was freshly prepared and wonderfully delicious! The papaya salad was zingy and subtle, not too sweet. The chicken pho was hearty and the broth had a nice depth of flavors, slightly herby. Perfect for the rainy day. My favorite was the tamarind chicken, which was cooked tender to perfection and the sauce was gingery, sweet and so good with the rice served on the side. My only complaint was the bench seats in the booth were hard and I had to bring the car cushions in for my companions.

The food was wonderful, and the wait staff were extremely pleasant. It did take a little while to get the food, but everything was very fresh when we got it. I can't recommend the curry soup and the banh mi equivalent enough!

Great food. The spring rolls were fresh and good sized. The staff were very warm and welcoming. High quality food for sure. I'll be going back.

Absolutely top notch food, and those in charge are kind people. I'll definitely be eating here again! Also, the spice is actually spicy- finally!

I love this place. I worked in the biz, it is so easy to slack off at the end of the shift. Tamayo 2 NEVCER does that even when I order 18 minutes before the kitchen closes due to working late. Everything I have ordered from them has been delivered correctly, warm and on time or early. The food is impeccable the ingredient's totally fresh & authentic. LOVE the Bahn Mi & fresh shrimp rolls, addicted to their roast duck. Try them you will not be disappointed.

I ordered through door dash so not sure what the inside looks like . But my office, coworkers loved the smell of the soup, and so did I! It tasted really good. I felt so much better after drinking it. I ordered egg drop soup with wontons, and it was amazing! Very aromatic, very flavorful, and I was sick that day I felt better instantly . Thank you for such good food. Can't wait to try more.

We got the duck curry, duck Banh mi, tofu mi kah ti, and beef pho (not pictured) and all were delicious! We also got crab Rangoons and Vietnamese iced coffee that we enjoyed. Plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options. Very attentive and friendly staff!

I got lunch to-go for myself and my cousin at Tamayo's 2 today. It was the first time either of us had any food from there. The people were really friendly, and the food was ready pretty quickly. It was after lunch-rush time, so there was no one else in there. I got the tamarind duck, and my cousin got tamarind chicken. We also shared Tamayo's chicken curry. The curry was one of the best I've ever had, although it seemed a little more than 1 star spicy to me, so maybe err on the side of caution when choosing spiciness level. We didn't know what to expect from the tamarind sauce, having never had it before, but we both thought it was amazing. I would have the tamarind duck every day if I could. I briefly fantasized about moving to the Bremerton area so I could be near it. If you have the chance, do yourself a favor and try it.
